2011

One of the first professional NGOs in North East India

2012

Started promoting women collectives in the form of self-help groups (SHGs) and women clusters and sustainable livelihoods

2013

  • Collaboration with the ‘Assam State Rural Livelihoods Mission’ and ‘TATA Trusts’
  • Mobilized 15,000 farmers in 25  Farmer Producer Organisation (FPOs)  in association with the ‘Assam Rural Infrastructure and Agriculture Services Society’ (ARIAS Society) and ‘Deloitte’
2014

  • Chief Minister Award for Community Development
  • Introduced Executive Traineeship Programme (ETP)  in the organisation
  • Conferred World Bank Development Market Place award.
  • Formed First SHG Federation – a network of several SHGs
2015

  • Outreach enhanced to 6,000 families through SHG platform
  • Initiated working with the Youth on Skill Development.
  • Participated in the North East Development Consortium (NEDC) formed to implement the MKSP project
2016

  • Introduced measures to strengthen the management and governance by initiating the ‘Organisation Development’ and ‘Staff Development and Grooming’ process
  • Started supporting State Rural Livelihoods Missions (SRLMs) as a Capacity Building Agency
2017

  • Project for the strengthening of FPOs and Partner NGOs undertaken with the support from the National Foundation for India (NFI)
  • Formed Two ‘Women Managed FPOs’ – one of the first in North East (NE)
  • Initiation of CSR project with ITC
2018

  • Widened SeSTA’s focus area to work on ‘Access to clean and green energy’ domain in line with its Mission for sustainable development
  • ‘Mission 2025’ articulated with the aim to reach out 150,000 poor households in NE by 2025
  • Worked with 25,000 households by adopting direct approach method
  • Collaboration with the Nagaland SRLM for promotion of model Cluster Level Federations (CLFs)
